Lot Shots Find of the Week: 1966 Dodge Coronet 500

The Mopar B-Bodies.

We have a soft spot for them. Hopefully, you understand.

We spotted this 1966 Dodge Coronet 500 outside the Summit Racing retail store in Ohio, and had to share. This ’66 Coronet, if still equipped with the original engine, is powered by a 440-cubic-inch, four-barrel-carbureted Magnum V8 engine with a 10.1 compression ratio. The original engine made 350 horsepower and 480 foot-pounds of peak torque.

The B-Body Mopars, including this pretty Coronet, are largely responsible for turning Mopar into a major player in the muscle car wars of the 1960s-70s.

    A 66 coronet did not have a 440 ci. option.Biggest option was a 426 Hemi and then dropped down to a 383 4 barrel.
