A parking lot is a parking lot is a parking lot—unless it’s the Summit Racing parking lot. On any given day or time, the lot outside a Summit Racing store can turn into an impromptu mini car show, depending on who’s stopped by. On Wednesdays, we’ll share our parking lot find of the week—another benefit of being Powered by Summit Racing Equipment.

Pretty much everyone loves Mopar B-bodies because, you know, America and stuff.

So you can imagine our delight one when we stumbled on this gem parked outside of the Summit Racing retail store in Tallmadge, OH.

This wasn’t just any B-body. This was a 1966 Plymouth Satellite (the top Mopar B-body trim level in ’66).

Notably, this gorgeous machine is sitting on a set of Cragar S/S wheels (the #2 ranked aftermarket part of all time), AND houses a 426-cubic-inch HEMI engine (the #2 ranked engine of all time).

1966 was the first model year the legendary 426 HEMI (lovingly dubbed “the Elephant”) was available for street cars.

So, this Satellite, you might say, is something of a white elephant. And to be clear, we don’t mean that the owner doesn’t find the car useful.

Only that it’s surely difficult to dispose of. We’re sure you can see why.
