Kodewa Unveils the Lotus C-01 Motorcycle
Despite
its recent troubles, Lotus has made its initial foray into the motorcycle market—sort of.
Although the newly unveiled Lotus C-01 motorcycle bears the Lotus name, it was actually built by Kodewa, the German company that built the Lotus Le Mans car. Outside of lending its brand name to the new superbike, Lotus has had no involvement with the C-01.
That being said, Kodewa has produced a stunning and highly potent motorcycle.
According to Motorcycle.com, the C-01 features a 1195cc V-Twin engine that churns out nearly 200 horsepower. Combine that power output with the C-01’s carbon fiber, titanium, and aircraft steel monocoque chassis (it weighs just under 400 pounds), and you’d better hold on if you’re fortunate enough to ride one.
Only 100 will be produced.
