Editor’s Note: 2012 was quite a year. Actually, for OnAllCylinders, it was our only year.

We’re putting the finishing touches on our first 12 months of delivering a unique combination of tech articles, tech projects, automotive features, photo galleries, event coverage, news, and lifestyle posts.

We’re looking forward to bringing you that same mix of all things high performance and racing in 2013. But first we’re looking back at our most-read posts of 2012, including our Top 5 most-popular car culture and lifestyle posts.

1. Top 10 Movie Cars and Top 10 TV Cars of All Time:

It started with our take on the top 10 movie cars. You were so opinionated that we re-did the list with your favorite movie cars, which you shared on Facebook. That was soon followed by a ranking of our Top 10 TV cars, which was our second-most-read post of the year.

2. Fab Forums: Your Unofficial Top 10 Automotive Forums of 2012

With help from Facebook fans, we ranked the Top 10 Automotive Forums, according to forum users. Some forums were happy to make the list; others were less than enthused and concerned we’d send too many newbies their way. You’re welcome, Yellow Bullet.

3. Holy Horsepower: 6 Batmobiles in One Place

We never dreamed we’d see every Batmobile made in one place. And really never thought we’d see them all at a Best Buy near Akron, OH. Guess the Geek Squad just wasn’t cutting the muster…but we digress. Check out photos from the—well, photo op—here.

4. 6 Heroic Cars that Helped Shape our Hobby

This Memorial Day post took a look at the six classic cars that best reflect the United States’ military. Just like the U.S. military, these cars pack power and muscle and also went above and beyond to transform our entire hobby. In short, they were the Six Hero Cars that Helped Shape our Hobby.

5. 1st Annual Dad’s Advice Awards

What is the best car advice your dad ever gave you? That was the question, and your answers led us to create the 1st Annual Dad’s Advice Awards. There’s been some great advice, some not-so-good advice, and some just plain silly words of wisdom. We gave awards (more like verbal pats on the back) for the 20 best gems. Check ’em out and just may learn something—or not.
